2. Use of Our Website

Our website is provided to allow customers to browse and purchase our range of kilt socks, hose, flashes and related accessories.

You agree to use the website lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, security or functionality.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that our website is available, secure and accurate. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that the website will always be free from technical errors.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. These are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

All website content, including text, images, graphics and logos, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or use this material commercially without permission from the relevant rights holder.

3. Product Information and Availability

We take care to ensure that our product descriptions, photographs, sizes and prices are accurate and up to date.

However, slight variations in colour, appearance or finish may occur due to manufacturing processes, lighting and differences between digital displays.

Accessories designed to coordinate with other products may vary slightly in shade. These variations do not necessarily indicate a fault, provided the goods remain as described and meet the standards required by law.

All products are subject to availability. Occasionally, an item may become unavailable after an order has been placed.

If we cannot supply an item, we will contact you promptly and offer an appropriate alternative or a refund for the unavailable product.

4. Prices and Payment

All prices displayed on our website are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. However, any price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

If we discover an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before accepting or fulfilling the affected order. You may then choose to proceed at the correct price or cancel the affected order.

Payments are processed securely through the payment methods made available at checkout.

Your bank or card statement may display the name of Base Food Group Ltd, Kilt Socks UK or the relevant payment service provider, depending on the payment arrangements in place.

We use appropriate security measures to protect information provided during checkout.

5. Placing an Order

To place an order, select the products you wish to purchase, add them to your basket and complete the checkout process.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information provided, including your name, billing details, delivery address and contact information, is accurate.

After placing an order, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt. This acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

A contract of sale is formed when we confirm acceptance of your order, normally when the goods are dispatched.

We reserve the right to decline an order where:

  • A product is unavailable.
  • Payment authorisation cannot be obtained.
  • There is an obvious pricing or product description error.
  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity.
  • We are otherwise unable to fulfil the order.

If payment has already been taken for an order that we cannot accept, we will refund the amount paid.

6. Payment Security

We use secure payment processing services to handle online transactions.

If your payment is declined, please check that your card details, expiry date, security code and billing address are correct.

For security reasons, we may occasionally need to verify payment or order information before dispatch.

If additional verification is required, we will contact you using the details provided with your order.

We will never ask you to send your full payment card details by email.

If you experience difficulties placing an order, please contact info@basefoodgroup.co.uk.

7. Delivery

We aim to process and dispatch orders promptly.

Delivery options, charges and estimated timescales will be provided during checkout or on our Delivery Information page.

Standard Delivery

Standard UK delivery normally takes approximately 2 to 3 working days after dispatch, subject to stock availability and carrier services.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.

Express Delivery

Express delivery may be available for eligible orders and destinations. Availability, charges and delivery estimates will be displayed at checkout.

Orders placed after the applicable dispatch cut-off time, or on weekends and public holidays, may be processed on the next working day.

Delivery Delays

Occasionally, delivery may be delayed due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including postal disruption, severe weather or unexpected carrier delays.

We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed of significant delays.

Unless a different delivery period has been agreed, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being formed.

If delivery is delayed beyond an agreed or legally required timeframe, your statutory rights to cancel and obtain a refund will apply.

Delivery Address

Please ensure that your delivery address is correct when placing an order.

If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. We will try to amend the details before dispatch, although changes may not always be possible.

Missing or Damaged Deliveries

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete or does not arrive, please contact info@basefoodgroup.co.uk as soon as possible.

We may ask for photographs or other information to help investigate the issue.

We remain responsible for goods until they are delivered into your physical possession or that of a person you have identified to receive them, subject to applicable law.

Your statutory rights are not affected by any request to report a problem promptly.

8. Cancellations and Returns

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, most customers purchasing goods online have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving their goods, without giving a reason.

Your Right to Cancel

For most orders, you have 14 days from the day after you, or someone nominated by you, receives the goods to notify us that you wish to cancel.

Where an order contains multiple items delivered separately, the cancellation period normally runs from receipt of the final item.

To exercise your right to cancel, please email info@basefoodgroup.co.uk or write to us at the address provided in Section 1.

Please include your order number and sufficient information to identify your purchase.

You do not need to provide a reason for cancelling.

Returning Goods

After notifying us of your cancellation, you have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Please return items to:

Base Food Group Ltd
Unit 4 Balfron Business Hub
Dunkeld Court
Balfron
Stirling
G63 0AZ
United Kingdom

Unless we have agreed otherwise or the goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning cancelled items.

You may inspect and try on products as you would in a shop. However, we may make a lawful deduction from your refund if handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods has reduced their value.

Refunds

Where you exercise your statutory right to cancel, we will refund:

  • The price paid for the returned goods.
  • The original standard delivery charge, where applicable.

If you selected a more expensive delivery option, we are not required to refund the additional cost above standard delivery.

Refunds will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods or receive satisfactory evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first.

Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Exceptions to Cancellation Rights

Certain products may be excluded from the statutory right to cancel, including goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

Other statutory exceptions may apply where relevant.

Any applicable exception will be explained before purchase. This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet statutory requirements.

9. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, products must be:

  • Of satisfactory quality.
  • Fit for their intended purpose.
  • As described.

If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us at info@basefoodgroup.co.uk with your order details and a description of the problem.

You may be entitled to a refund, repair or replacement, depending on the circumstances and when the problem becomes apparent.

In most cases, consumers have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery.

After this period, other statutory remedies may apply, including repair, replacement, price reduction or a final right to reject.

Where goods do not conform to the contract, we will meet our legal obligations, including covering reasonable return costs where required.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.

10. Changes to Orders

If you need to amend or cancel an order before dispatch, please contact us as soon as possible at info@basefoodgroup.co.uk.

We will do our best to accommodate your request, although we cannot guarantee that changes can be made once an order has entered processing or dispatch.

Your statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.
